The staff and board of directors of Hope Harbor would like to thank the community for their support in the installation of new playground equipment at the shelter. The project has provided so much joy to the families facing homelessness in our community.

The new playground unit was installed on June 19 and was funded in part by grants from Wood Bros Realty, Benjamin A. Black Charity, funds from the Third City Christian Church Children’s Ministry, and through an in-kind donation by Rainbow Play Systems.

Third City Christian Church and Landscaping Solutions, LLC provided supplies for the landscaping projects as well as volunteers to complete the work. In addition, community volunteers and supporters of Hope Harbor joined in the effort. On July 17, volunteers will come together one more time to complete landscaping tasks at the shelter and service center location.

Hope Harbor has provided shelter to 95 children so far this year. The opportunity to have a safe place to play reduces stress and the effects of trauma and allows families an onsite location to spend time together. We are so thankful to those who made it possible.
