ST. LIBORY — Patricia “Pat” Frauen, 81, of St. Libory died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Archer Zion United Methodist Church near Archer, with Pastor Laura Beach officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
Pat was born on December 30, 1935 in Salina, KS to Elmer and Mildred (Larson) Boyer. She grew up in the Hastings area and graduated from Hastings High School. She then went to Teacher’s College in Kearney receiving her 2 year certificate. Pat began teaching in North Platte and then in Grand Island. She married Donald L. Frauen on August 30, 1960 in Hastings, Nebraska. She continued to teach for a year and then decided to help on the farm full time raising their children. As her children got older, she decided to go back to teaching where she substitute taught in many area schools. Pat later worked at the Cabela’s Call Center for over 10 years.
She was a member of Archer Zion United Methodist Church and Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Extension Club, Platte-Duetsche, and volunteered at the Hospital Auxillary Thrift Shop. Pat especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband- Don of St. Libory, NE; one daughter, Kelly Ball of Columbus; three sons, Eric and Diane Frauen of Grand Island, Kurt Frauen of Palmer and Brent and Stacey Frauen of Lexington; one sister, Cindy and Lanny LaRue of Thornton, CO; one brother in law, Gary Fitzke of Roseland; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Fitzke and son in law, Nelson Ball.
