Jeffrey L. Heiden, 54, of Grand Island died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at CHI Health St. Francis due to trauma incurred from a fall at his work.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home. A Christian wake service will begin at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Marty Egging leading.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. David Feddern will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service.
Jeffrey was born on July 29, 1963, at Central City, the son of Ronny and Harleen (Johnson) Heiden.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Bridget Uribe and Rachel Gass, both of Grand Island, Michelle (Dominic) Boltz of Alda, and Alicia Martinez and Jesus Martinez, both of Grand Island; his mother and stepfather, Harleen and Earl Bicknase of Hampton; a brother, Jason (Cindy) Heiden of Omaha; sisters, Jackie (Tom) Staley of Lincoln and Joan DeHeus of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and grandchildren, Garrett, Sasha, Daniel, Madison and Ryker.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Jeffrey was raised on a farm near Hampton. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith on Aug. 25, 1963, and confirmed on April 3, 1977. He graduated from Hampton High School with the Class of 1981.
On July 9, 2005, he was united in marriage to Mary (Potrzeba) Aldana in Alda. Jeff was employed by DMF Trailer Company for 20 years and Michael’s Trailer Shop for 12 years, and was currently working for Wilson’s Trailer Shop.
Some of his enjoyments included fishing, woodworking and having a good beer. His greatest joy was time spent with grandkids.
