“Dee” Delores Arnett, 79, of Grand Island died Thursday, July 4, 2019, with her loving family at her side.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Chaplain Aaron Phillips will officiate. Casual or Husker attire is suggested. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Dee was born May 26, 1940, at Grand Island, the daughter of Steve and Eloise (Hile) Lehman. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1958. She attended beauty school and worked at the Yancey Hotel as a beauty operator.
On Oct. 16, 1960, she was united in marriage to Emmett Arnett. This union was blessed with four children, Carrie, Todd, Matt and Brad. Dee stayed home to raise her children. She then went to work for Skagway. Dee spent 30 years in the banking industry, having worked for Overland National Bank, Wells Fargo and Platte Valley State Bank.
Some of her enjoyments included collecting snowmen, walking, yard work, playing Yahtzee and playing pitch on Saturday mornings with her children. She loved time spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Carrie Arnett of Grand Island, Todd (Denise) Arnett of Grand Island, Matthew (Pam) Arnett of Hampton and Bradley (Joni) Arnett of Grand Island; grandchildren, Joseph Ahlers, Angie Ahlers, T.J. Roe, Sebrina (Josh) Bergmeier, Christopher (Kylie) Arnett, Cole Arnett, Caleb Arnett and Natasha Arnett; 13 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Roger (Ione) Arnett of Aurora; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett, who died Feb. 6, 2012; her parents; her brother, Larry Lehman; parents-in-law, Orville and Irene Arnett; and sister-in-law, Joan Kissel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be determined at a later date.
