GENEVA — William “Bill” K. Schneider, 57, of Geneva passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Veterans Affair Medical Center in Grand Island.
Private family services will be at a later date.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1962, at Blair to Wesley and Ellen (Graham) Schneider. He grew up in Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School.
He entered into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1980, serving for four years. He later entered into the U.S. Army in 1986, serving six years during Desert Storm. After returning from the service, he worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads until retirement in 2013.
He was united in marriage to Audrey Schall on July 18, 1981. The couple lived in California, Germany and Washington state while William was in the service. They later settled in Grand Island in 1992. He later moved to Geneva after their divorce.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters and their husbands, Rachel Adamson, Hellen and Gary Rinke and Iva and Lucas Randall; eight grandchildren, Christina and Samantha Adamson, Korey Pence, Kyle, Cody and William Rinke, Bruce-William and Elayne Randall; a sister, Kelly Linde; a niece, Billie Wassom; a nephew, Andrew Votipka; and special friends, Kevin and Barbie Weaver and their children, Sophia and Alec Weaver.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wesley.
