KEARNEY — Blizzard conditions and flooding have closed several offices and postponed events in central Nebraska. 

Here's what's closed so far:

- The city of Kearney Sanitation Division announced that refuse collection for Thursday will be postponed until Friday and the Solid Waste Agency Landfill and Compost and Tree Site is closed.

- Kearney Public Schools has cancelled classes and all practices and activities for Thursday.

- University of Nebraska at Kearney has rescheduled media and public forums with athletic director candidate Ron Prettyman to 4-5 p.m. Monday, March 18 in the Nebraskan Student Union Antelope Room.

- City of Kearney offices, as well as the Kearney Public Library and Peterson Senior Center are closed Thursday.

- The Scott Frost Welcome Home Tailgate benefiting the Stick Creek Kids Child Development Center in Wood River scheduled for Thursday has been tentatively rescheduled for April 25.
