Grand Island Police
The following felonies were reported:
— Ana Ortiz reported the theft of a white and black 2019 Kawasaki KSF 50 (Quad) 4-wheeler at 518 E, Capital, #68. Ortiz said the quad was parked in front of the residence and not secured. She stated all the keys for the quad were accounted for. The case is open.
— Five Points Bank Stolley Park Branch reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill from Burger King at 1201 S. Locust.
— Five Points Bank Stolley Park Branch reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill from Taco Bell at 2211 S. Locust.
— Officers responded to Walmart South, 3501 S. Locust, in reference to counterfeit currency. An assistant manager reported that three individuals entered the store at approximately 7 a.m. The subjects selected several items and then attempted to pay with counterfeit $100 bills.
Hall County Sheriff
Deputies arrested six people on warrants and served seven warrants. There were 31 calls for service, including the following incident:
— A Wood River man reported being assaulted by another man at 8:39 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion, 118 W. Ninth St., Wood River. The suspect was cited for third-degree assault, which is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
Driving Under the Influence — Dylan Kemmet-Deras, 20, Grand Island, DUI-drug, first offense, $500 fine, six months probation, driver’s license revoked 60 days; Edgar Ruiz-Guaderrama, 19, Grand Island, DUI-alcohol, first offense, $500 fine, six months probation, driver’s license revoked 60 days. Also guilty of minor in possession, ages 19/20, six months probation; David A. Garcia, 44, Grand Island, DUI-breath, first offense, $500 fine, six months probation, driver’s license revoked 60 days.
