Apparently working alone, a man robbed Walmart North of $1,500 in a quick-change incident.

The fraud happened between Sept. 22 and Sunday.

In a quick-change crime, a suspect uses confusion to obtain more money from a cashier than he deserves. He might start a conversation and count out some money. He might then distract the cashier and resume “the conversation with a different count,” said Police Capt. Jim Duering. The criminal’s goal is to “just keep you off-guard and unable to track what’s going on.”
