Wanting to fix up your home or implement new technology, but don’t know where to start?

Everything you need can be found at the Central Nebraska Home Show, Friday through Sunday, Jan. 18-20, at the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center at Fonner Park.

This is the 44th year experts in home improvement will come together to give others an opportunity to learn the latest about home building, remodeling, landscaping and more, according to a news release.

Bill Jackson, producer of the show and president of West Des Moines-headquartered Jackson Expo Group Inc., said there will be approximately 100 exhibitors with products from new carpets and counters to energy-saving products using solar power.

Some exhibitors will be able to inform attendees how to extend a kitchen by adding a patio and grilling area for warmer weather.

There will also be distributors for gutters and roofing, which could be important after a harsh winter.

“January is a great time to start planning for spring and summer projects, and we have a great line-up of the right people to help,” Jackson said.

Exhibitors for the show are from the Central Nebraska area, so Jackson said people can expect to see friendly faces and familiar businesses.

Jackson said that people who attend will be able to trust that the exhibitors can help them through their home improvement projects with their knowledge in a wide-range of fields.

One trend Jackson has noticed throughout the years is that the exhibitors are bringing more energy-saving products, including solar and heating products.

There will be informative seminars that are free with admission on topics from geothermal and outdoor design to improving curb appeal and adding more space to the home.

Hosting the seminars will be certified professionals who will be able to offer tips, tricks, demonstrations and advice.

“People who attend will be able to find everything in relation to the home,” Jackson said. “They’ll be able to talk to builders about new home design, bathroom remodeling, learn how to correct problems and more.”

This show will be a one-stop shop for anyone looking to do anything in the home improvement area.

Show hours are Friday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 20, from noon to 5 p.m.

Admission is $5 to the show and daily seminars, and children 12 and under get in free.

The show is sponsored by the Central Nebraska Home Builders Association.
