ST. PAUL — Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, June 4, on Highway 281 from reference post 90.93 to reference post 94.22 in the St. Paul area, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Ten Point Construction Co. of Denison, Iowa, has the $2.02 million contract.
Work will include concrete pavement repair, diamond grinding concrete pavement, asphalt milling and overlay on shoulders and permanent pavement marking.
Traffic will be maintained on Highway 281 with the use of temporary traffic control and reduced speeds. At times during construction, traffic both northbound and southbound will be limited to one lane. An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect for the duration of the project.
Anticipated completion is November of 2019.
Motorists are asked to use caution when driving near construction zones and to expect delays.
