Kash Kalkowski had another big day as Home Federal won two games Friday at the Mike Peterson Tournament in Lincoln.
Kalkowski's long single in the bottom of the seventh drove in Luke Farrar with the winning run as Home Federal downed Elkhorn 5-4 in the first game.
"We beat a good team," Home Federal assistant coach Joe Wells said. "They're a good team. They're a handful. They swing the ball well."
Eric Schwieger went the distance and had five strikeouts to get the win. Elkhorn scored all its runs on a grand slam in the fourth inning by Jake Long.
Kalkowski went 3-for-3 with a solo homer in the second game as Home Federal defeated Lincoln JC Brager 10-5. Slade Bolles had two hits and three RBIs for Home Federal (29-5).
