UNK tops Augustana in three sets
KEARNEY — Senior middle blocker Jeri Walkowiak had 18 kills, two off her career high, to lead the 7th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team to a sweep of Augustana (25-11, 25-21, 25-23) Wednesday night at the Health and Sports Center.

A brand new course produced a couple of records Saturday at the Bill Seymour Half-Marathon.
No. 17 Wayne State finishes 4-0 at Rockhurst Classic
No. 17-ranked Wayne State finished 4-0 Saturday at the Rockhurst Volleyball Classic in Kansas City, Mo., with an impressive sweep of the host Hawks 25-15, 25-16 and 25-13. The Wildcats moved to 4-0 on the season while Rockhurst suffered its first loss and is now 2-1. Earlier in the day, WSC disposed of Tiffin (Ohio) in another straight set win 25-14, 27-25 and 25-20.
Lopers upset No. 5 Central Missouri
The 13th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team swept No. 5 Central Missouri (25-18, 30-28, 25-22) and fell to No. 3 Tampa (26-28, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 11-15) Friday at the Tampa Classic in Florida.
OMAHA -- UNK never led until the fourth quarter and still had to make one more comeback, but a 59-yard catch and run by Kyle Kaiser was the difference Saturday in a 32-29 victory over the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Hastings College rolls over Briar Cliff
NAIA No. 13 Hastings racked-up 485 yards of total offense and held Briar Cliff to only 162 yards in a 33-0 shutout victory at BCU’s Memorial Field. Hastings quarterback Troy Huebert was 14-23 for 154 yards and three scores. Hastings opens the season 1-0, while Briar Cliff is 0-1.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Wayne State College volleyball team, ranked 17th in the AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, opened the 2010 season Friday afternoon with a pair of wins at the Rockhurst Volleybll Classic in Kansas City, Missouri.
