ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Nebraska’s trend of making November games memorable continues.
The banged up Cornhuskers used quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr.’s 5-yard touchdown pass to I-back Ameer Abdullah on a left-handed forward option pitch to produce the game-winner with 2:03 remaining and pull off a 17-13 upset victory over Michigan. The win, before a crowd of 112,204 in the “Big House” on Saturday, snapped the Wolverines 19-game home winning streak — the longest in the nation — and kept coach Bo Pelini’s team in the hunt for a Big Ten Conference Legends title with division leader Michigan State coming to Lincoln next Saturday.
