ORLANDO, Fla. — Early in the second half of a 45-31 Capital One Bowl loss to Georgia, Nebraska’s offense was on a roll.
The Cornhuskers opened the third quarter with an impressive 13-play, 75-yard drive that took 5:18 off the clock and gave them a 31-23 lead on I-back Rex Burkhead’s 2-yard touchdown run. The Bulldogs’ defense was gassed, struggling to even get lined up in time to defend Burkhead’s scoring plunge as Nebraska picked up the pace with its hurry-up offense.
