Gary Purvis, 304 W. 12th St., reported a burglary there. A bicycle was stolen from a garage.
Jessica Palu, 4365 Manchester Road, reported a burglary there. Photos were taken from a residence.
Hall County Sheriff
Law enforcement arrested 11 people on warrants in 14 cases. The following felonies were reported:
Riverland Auto Sales, Alda, reported a theft at 102 Vine St. in Alda. A 1996 Cadillac was stolen.
James Perkins, 2505 Sothman Drive, reported a theft at 3275 N. 150th Road in Cairo. Fuel was stolen.
James McMullen, Alda, reported a burglary at 4017 S. Alda Road in Alda.
Edith Ogden, Alda, reported an assault at 60 Mockingbird in Alda.

Hall County District Court
Randall H. Harders, 51, Wood River, pleaded not guilty to sexual assault on a child for an incident that occurred between Aug. 1, 2004, and Feb. 1, 2007. His pretrial is scheduled for June 11.
Stacey W. Nielsen, 45, 310 N. Ruby Ave., pleaded not guilty to first-degree sexual assault for a Dec. 15, 2007, incident. Nielsen's trial is scheduled for August.
Clarification
An article on the District 41 legislative race in Thursday's Independent (“Five District 41 candidates offer differing backgrounds, views,`` p. 8-A) was unclear about Kate Sullivan's position on roads funding. Sullivan does not support an increased gas tax.
Corrections
Text message cost misstated
The Grand Island/Hall County Emergency Management Department could provide a text message alert system at an overall cost of $4,000 to $5,000 a year. The cost was attributed to a reverse 911 calling system in a Thursday story. No actual cost has been determined for the reverse 911 system.
NTV and Red Cross promoting blood drives
NTV and the American Red Cross are promoting blood drives in Grand Island, Hastings and Kearney, not MTV, as stated in a headline in Thursday's Independent.
