Police/Sheriff

Anyone with information about any crime in the state may call the Grand Island-Hall County Crime Stoppers, 381-8822. Crime Stoppers guarantees that callers will remain anonymous.

A reward of up to $1,000 will be paid after law enforcement agencies have determined the seriousness of the crime and the usefulness of the information.

Inmate custody status can be obtained by calling the VINE hotline at (877) NE 4 VINE. Information is available 24 hours a day.

Grand Island Police

The following felonies were reported: 

 Miriam Cuevas, 803 S. Vine St., reported a theft and criminal mischief there.

 Sean Schwartz, Grand Island, reported a theft at Summerfield and Lilac Lane.

 Randall Dymek, 707 W. 14th St., reported a burglary there.



Hall County Sheriff

Law enforcement arrested 10 people on warrants in six cases. No felonies were reported.

The Hall County Jail has 126 inmates, booked in 18 people and released three people.

 Daniel C. Adem, 28, 603 Yund St., was charged with terroristic threats for a July 31 incident involving Mohamud Ahmed.

 Zachariah J. Towler, 21, Wood River, was charged with terroristic threats and third-degree domestic assault for a July 30 incident involving Danielle Towler.

 Allen J. McCray, 30, Grand Island, was charged with theft by unlawful taking for a June 27 incident involving property of Bosselman's.

 Jesse W. Moeller, 26, Alda, was charged with distribution of marijuana and not having a drug tax stamp for a May 14 incident.

 Troy D. Utley, also known as Troy D. Hall, 42, Grand Island, was charged with distribution of methamphetamine for a July 26 incident.



Driving under the influence

Timothy S. Munoz, 21, 4223 Pennsylvania Ave., $400, six months probation, 60 days no driving; Penny J. Dimond, 47, 303 W. Capital Ave., third offense, $500, 18 months probation, 90 days in jail, 15 years no driving; Noel R. Coss-Ortiz, 31, 1414 St. Paul Road, No. 80, $400, six months probation, 60 days no driving.
