BRUMMUND -- To Brad and Jennifer (Binfield) Brummund of Omaha, a daughter born April 24 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha. Grandparents are Gail and Debbra Brummund and Barbara Binfield, all of Grand Island, and the late Jerry Binfield. Great-grandparents are Beata Moore and Elsie Bonsack, both of Grand Island, and Robert and Audrey Brummund of Doniphan.

Grand Island Police

The following felonies were reported: 

-- Justin Ammerman, 588 E. 18th St., reported a first-degree assault there.

-- Jose Alarcon, 2223 Brahma St., reported a theft there.



Hall County Sheriff

Law enforcement arrested five people on warrants in six cases. No felonies were reported.

Hall County District Court

-- Scott M. Earl, 32, Palmer, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and driving during suspension for a Feb. 13 incident. His trial is scheduled for July.

-- Sarah J. Larson, 35, 522 W. Second St., pleaded not guilty to third-degree arson for a March 20 incident involving property of Central Waste Disposal; assault by a confined person for a March 23 incident; and assault by a confined person for a March 20 incident. Her trial is scheduled for July.

-- Gary A. Zierke Jr., 39, Grand Island, had charges of distribution of methamphetamine and being a habitual criminal dismissed for a Feb. 14 incident.

-- Alexis Bach, 22, Hastings, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine for a March 7, 2007, incident, and to theft by unlawful taking for a June 2, 2007, incident. She will enter the Central Nebraska Drug Court Friday.

-- Jason R. Alexander, 35, 1216 W. Third St., pleaded no contest to theft of services for a Nov. 28, 2007, incident involving Northwestern Energy, and theft by receiving stolen property for a Nov. 19, 2007, incident involving property of Jason Harb. His sentencing is scheduled for June 3.

-- Teresa L. Cramer, also known as Teresa L. Smith and Teresa Wirtz, 38, 1609 W. Louise St., was sentenced to two years probation for possession of Alprazolam for a May 14, 2007, incident.



Hall County Court

-- Clint J. Younger, 25, 1812 N. Lafayette Ave., was sentenced to 90 days in jail for attempted strangulation, reduced from strangulation, and third-degree domestic assault for a Nov. 18, 2007, incident involving Tara Aguilar. A charge of misdemeanor criminal mischief was dismissed for the same incident.

-- Arthur D. Shafer Jr., 26, 1005 St. Paul Road, Apt. C, was sentenced to 90 days in jail and was ordered to pay $110 restitution for attempted strangulation and third-degree domestic assault for a June 22, 2007, incident involving Jenae Rendowski.

-- Jennifer L. Pelowski, 23, Hastings, was sentenced to nine months probation, fined $100 and ordered to pay $680 restitution for the attempted unauthorized use of a financial transaction device for a Nov. 29, 2007, incident.

-- Cassandra L. Elson, 21, 301 Cardinal Drive, was charged with second-offense writing insufficient/no funds checks for a Feb. 22 incident.

-- Kimberly A. Wykoff, 38, Omaha, was charged with two counts of writing insufficient/no funds checks for May 22, 2007, and Aug. 15, 2007, incident.
