Local births

BEBERNISS -- To Jack and Melissa (Overfield) Beberniss of Grand Island, a son born April 28 at St. Francis Medical Center. Grandparents are George and Debbie Overfield, Dan and Joy Wenzel and Jack and Connie Beberniss.

Area births

SUNTYCH -- To Randy and Jennifer (Walkowiak) Suntych of Boelus, a daughter born April 29 at St. Francis Medical Center. Grandparents are Lavern and Rosalee Suntych of Boelus and Marilyn Walkowiak of Spalding. Great-grandmother is Evelyn Suntych of Grand Island.

Snow's Floral, 2116 S. Webb Road, reported an attempted burglary there.

Hall County Sheriff

Law enforcement arrested nine people on warrants in nine cases. The following felony was reported:

Clinton Gordon, O'Neill, reported a burglary at 415 W. 10th St. in Wood River.

The Hall County Jail has 150 inmates, booked in 30 people and released 33 people.

Hall County Court

Curtis S. Bennett, 27, 720 E. Ninth St., was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and two counts of felony terroristic threats for a May 4 incident.

Brandon S. Cates, 21, 104 W. Ashton Ave., $400, one year probation, six months no driving, seven days in jail; Gabino Gonzales, 33, Hastings, $500, 30 days in jail, one year no driving; Agustine Sanchez, 17, 724 E. 12th St., $400, six months probation, 60 days no driving; Matthew D. Randolph, 26, 1103 E. Phoenix Ave., $400, six months probation, 60 days no driving; Brent W. Iwanski, 23, Ord, $400, six months probation, 60 days no driving; Robert T. Williams, 41, Wood River, $400, one year probation, 60 days no driving.

Rauert misidentified in photo

Jodi Rauert is a new trust officer at Platte Valley State Bank and Trust Co. in Grand Island.
