FOX -- To Brian and Jennifer (Schultz) Fox of Scotia, a daughter born Aug. 21 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.



Police/Sheriff



Anyone with information about any crime in the state may call the Grand Island-Hall County Crime Stoppers, 381-8822. Crime Stoppers guarantees that callers will remain anonymous.

A reward of up to $1,000 will be paid after law enforcement agencies have determined the seriousness of the crime and the usefulness of the information.

Inmate custody status can be obtained by calling the VINE hotline at (877) NE 4 VINE. Information is available 24 hours a day.

Grand Island Police

The following felonies were reported:

 Lygia and Tanner Neeley, 914 N. Adams and 910 N. Elm St., reporter an assault. A man was arrested as a result of the report.

 Larry Hescock, 307 Arapahoe Ave., reported a theft.

 Debra Wamsley, 210 W. 11th St., reported a theft.

 Michael Schenk, 249 S. Plum, reported a burglary.

 Frank Brizuela, 516 W. 11th St.,  reported a theft.

 Sayid Ali, 623 Yund St., Apt. 1, reported an assault. A woman was arrested as a result of the report.

 Skagway, 620 W. State St., reported shoplifing. Two women were arrested as a result of the report.   

 A sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl that happened in east central Grand Island on Aug. 12 was reported.

 

Hall County Sheriff

Law enforcement arrested 17 people on warrants in 24 cases. The following felonies were reported:

 Gorden Newman, Wood River, and Elaine Goldman, Wood River, reported an assault.

 Natali Herrera-Sanchez, Alda, reported an assault.

 Isabel Sanchez, Grand Island, reported an assault.



Hall County Jail

The Hall County Jail has 168 inmates, booked in 42 people and released 38 people.

Hall County Court

 Travis Alan Fleming, 19, 716 W. Charles St., was charged with theft by unlawful taking for an Aug. 24 incident.

 Shannon Renee Gomez, 26, homeless, also known as Shannon Arnett, was charged with possession of methamphetamine for an Aug. 23 incident.

 Baldomiro Hernandez-Samayo, 30, 707 W. Charles St., Apt. 1, was charged with strangulation of Natali Herrera-Sanchez for an Aug. 23 incident.

 Leonardo Moreno, age and address unknown, was charged with possession of cocaine for an Aug. 23 incident.

 Todd William Berney, 44, 910 N. Elm Street, was charged with strangulation of Tanner Neeley for an Aug. 24 incident.

 Natasha M. Pinkham, 16, 1224 W. Anna St., was charged with making terroristic threats against Callum Pinkham for a July 5 incident.





Street closure



Carleton Avenue will be closed from Capital Avenue to Diers Avenue Tuesday through Sept. 2 for installation of dewatering wells.
