Local births

LUEVANO -- To Felice and Margaret (Royse) Luevano of Grand Island, a son born June 2 at St. Francis Medical Center. Grandparents are Rosa and Gonzalo Luevano and George and Lina Royse, all of Grand Island.

SCHADWINKEL -- To Mike and Kelli (Koozer) Schadwinkel of Grand Island, a son born June 28 at St. Francis Medical Center.

WOOD -- To Troy and Tamara (Wyman) Wood of Grand Island, a daughter born July 2 at St. Francis Medical Center. Grandparents are Bob Wyman and Vanetta Wyman of Silver Creek, Don and Sue Thies of Lyons and Frank and Jean Wood of Wayne. Great-grandparents are Mary Lee Slaughter of Rosalie, the late Levon Slaughter, and Frank and Arla Mae Wood of Oakland.

ANDERSON -- To Art and Maaika (Wadsworth) Anderson of St. Paul, a daughter born on June 16 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Grandparents include Mary and Denny Wadsworth of Wolbach and Art and June Anderson of Wolbach. Great-grandparents include Marvin and Norma Jean Smits of St. Paul.

BRANDT -- To Tod and Theresa (Bogus) Brandt of Doniphan, twins, a son and a daughter, born June 28 at St. Francis Medical Center.

BUHRMAN -- To Aaron and Tara (Rasmussen) Buhrman of St. Libory, a son born June 30 at St. Francis Medical Center.

The following felonies were reported:

--  Porfirio Casarez, 1010 W. Third St., reported being threatened there.

--  Two children ages 16 and 10 in east Grand Island reported being sexually assaulted. A man was taken into custody.

Hall County Sheriff

Law enforcement arrested 13 people on warrants in 16 cases. No felonies were reported.

The Hall County Jail has 126 inmates, booked in 42 people and released 37 people.

-- Keith J. Ostrander, 37, 3021 W. North Front St. No. 9, was charged with strangulation, a felony, and third-degree domestic assault and first-offense driving under the influence, both misdemeanors, for a July 6 incident involving Crystal Ostrander.

--  Daniel J. Lathrop, 36, 3416 E. Gregory Ave., was charged with first-degree sexual assault on a child 12 years old or younger for an incident that occurred between July 1, 2007 and July 1, 2008, and incest for a July 1 incident.

-- Aurelso Vergara, 69, Glendale, Ariz., was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and not having a drug tax stamp for a July 4 incident.

-- Maria Vergara, 59, Glendale, Ariz., was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and not having a drug tax stamp for a July 4 incident.

-- Nicolas H. Terjak, 19, 117 E. Oklahoma Ave., was charged with burglary and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute for a July 3 incident involving the Subway at 2412 S. Locust St.

-- Hermino Alamilla Jr., 25, 518 E. Capital Ave. No. 14, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and terroristic threats, both felonies, and resisting arrest and third-degree domestic assault, both misdemeanors, for a July 4 incident involving Lindsey Kober.

-- Genaro Flores, 34, 1424 E. Seventh St., was charged with possession of cocaine, a felony, and second-offense driving under the influence and first-offense driving during suspension, both misdemeanors, for a July 5 incident.

-- Antonio T. Trejo, 34, 1414 E. Fifth St., was charged with second-degree assault for a July 4 incident involving Juan Morales.

Bradley D. Moseley, 24, Kingwood, Texas, first offense, $400, six months probation, 60 days no driving; Joann M. Spilger, 35, 2114 W. Second St. Room 315, second offense, $500, 18 months probation, one year no driving; Nathaniel I. Contreras, 23, 2323 Bellwood No. 121, first offense, $400, one year probation, seven days jail, six months no driving; Casey W. Dennhardt, 25, 2323 Kruse Ave., third offense, $600, 30 days jail, two years probation, two years no driving; Debra J. Fox, 31, 415 N.
