Ravenna advances in Lou-Platte Tournament

RAVENNA —

Ravenna moved into the semifinals of the Lou-Platte Conference Tournament with a 25-23, 25-17, 25-14 victory over Adams Central.

Madison Pernicek led the Bluejays (15-6) with nine kills and 18 digs. Mallory Irvine added eight kills and 14 digs while Taryn McDowell had 17 digs.

Breanna Bohlen, Jalynda Hodson and Sharidan Rayburn had five kills each for Adams Central (11-12).

Adams Central opened the night with a 25-23, 25-18, 25-15 victory over Doniphan-Trumbull. Rayburn led the Patriots with 10 kills while Hodson added nine.

Kayla Gruener and Tiffany Jones had seven kills each for Doniphan-Trumbull (2-19).



Wood River moves into semis

WOOD RIVER -- Morgan Heise and Maddie Heise had eight kills each as Wood River defeated Loup city 25-12, 25-16, 25-19 in Lou-Platte Conference Tournament action.

Morgan Fischer added seven kills for the Eagles (15-3) and Lacey Woitaszewski had 27 set assists.

Kearney Catholic also advanced with a 25-22, 18-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13 victory over Ord (14-5).

Kelcie Pelton led Ord with 12 kills and six ace blocks while Abby Welniak had nine kills. Desiree Erickson had four ace blocks and 37 set assists. Megan Cullers had 34 digs and Kendra Novotny 28.
