The Grand Island Northwest girls finished third in the team competition of the Boone Central All-Class Invitational, while the Vikings boys finished fourth Friday.
The Grand Island Central Catholic boys were seventh and the Crusader girls finished in eighth place.
The Vikings had some good individual success with Katie Earll winning the junior class competition and posting a 14th-place overall finish with a time of 19:18. Allison Willis finished third in the junior division at 19:40, while Susy Jones finished third in the freshmen division and fourth overall at 18:12 for the Vikings. Teammate Ingrid Rodriguez placed fourth in the senior division at 18:54.
The Viking boys were led by Jory Pflasterer, Anthnoy Epp and freshmen Brian Vasey, Bryce Hesterman and Chas Knight.
Pflasterer's time of 17:12 was good for fourth overall while placing second in the senior competition behind Central City's Noland Broekemeier.
Northwest's Epp won the sophomore division with a time of 17:17, which placed him fifth overall. Vasey led a strong finish as his time of 18:13 won the freshmen division, with Hesterman finishing second at 18:32 and Knight third at 18:49.
Brenan Anspaugh paced the Central Catholic team with a fourth place finish in the boys' sophomore division. Hannah Davis finished 18th overall for the Crusaders girls.

HASTINGS -- Kylee Flaherty and Mikayla Northup each fired a 49 at Southern Hills Golf Course to lead Grand Island Central Catholic to a 204-225 dual victory on Thursday.
Central Catholic displayed good balance in the dual as Maegan Kellogg finished fourth with a 52 and Nicole Harrington shot a 54 good for fifth overall.
Molly Dycus led the Hawkette golfers with a score of 50, which was good for third place.
