Chinda Keolavone, 35, of Grand Island died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Keolavone was born June 29, 1972, in Pak Sun, Laos, to Tiou and Louane Keolavone.
Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Kay; his parents, Tiou and Louane Keolavone of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Panom Keolavone of Grand Island and Johnny Keolavone of Wichita, Kan.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Pany and Panee Chaithaonh of Wichita.
Mr. Keolavone is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Khamphoun and Khamvanh Keopanya of Grand Island; one brother-in-law, Pako Keopanya of Omaha; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Goy and Goyl Keopanya of Grand Island; one sister-in-law and her fianc, Noy and Thanh Nguyen of Omaha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was united in marriage to Kay Keopanya on May 30, 2004, in Grand Island. The couple made their home in Grand Island where he was self employed in construction. Mr. and Mrs. Keolavone also worked as custodians at Messiah Lutheran Church.
He loved fishing, spending time in the outdoors, weight lifting and playing tennis. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews.
He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1991. He also graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
