GRAND ISLAND —

A "neighbor dispute" Sunday at 2512 W. First St. escalated into a fight that sent one man to the hospital.

That initial fight sparked a second disturbance that was still going on when Grand Island police officers arrived at the scene, with the second fight resulting in three custodial arrests, according to Grand Island Police Sgt. Jim Duering.

Duering said custodial arrests means the men arrested were not just cited and released, but taken to the Hall County Jail.

He said the man who was injured and transported to St. Francis Medical Center appeared to have minor lacerations or cuts as a result of the first fight.

He said the first fight remained under investigation Sunday night and that more information on both disturbances will be available on Monday.
