The Children's Summer Reading Program for the week of June 23 through 27 will include the following:
Monday, June 23: "Caring for Your Pet Bug," with staff from Sundance Feed and Seed.
Tuesday, June 24: "The Amazing Arthur," the amazing magician from Omaha will feature a show filled with juggling, magic and comedy. "The Bunny Club," story time and sharing time for babies and their parents. "Bed Bugs," at 6:30 p.m. is a family story time where kids can come dressed in their pajamas.
Wednesday, June 25: Craft day.
Thursday, June 26: Preschool story time on spiders; writing class for kids who can already read and write.
Friday, June 27: Movie time.
Unless already noted, all programs begin at 10 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Movie running times are posted at the library.
Children of all ages are encouraged to read (or be read to) at least 10 books during the summer program and then fill out a reading record card and return the card to the library for tally.
Each child will receive a free meal coupon at a local restaurant when they turn in their first card and prizes from the toy box for each additional ten books turned in on reading sheets at the Bookmobile or library.
