GRAND ISLAND
Medical problem causes single-vehicle accident
A single-vehicle accident on Highway 281 late Thursday afternoon sent a St. Libory woman to St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Hall County Chief Deputy Sheriff Chris Rea said Shirley Greenwalt, 73, of St. Libory was driving a 1994 Cadillac southbound on Highway 281 at One-R Road when she suffered a medical ailment, causing the car to leave the pavement on the west side of the road.
Rea said the vehicle rolled twice and came to rest on its wheels. He said Greenwalt was wearing a seat belt and suffered only minor injuries from the accident. However, because of concern over the medical condition that caused the accident, she was transported to the hospital.
Rea said the accident happened at 5:39 p.m.
