Lauk, Loghry to speak at Tri-Cities Security Symposium

GRAND ISLAND —

Dr. Raymond Lauk and Mr. Jerry Loghry, CPP will be the featured speakers at the second Annual Tri-Cities Security Symposium on Wednesday, May 21 at the Interstate Holiday Inn.

The symposium, co-sponsored by Protex Central, Inc. of Hastings, EMC Insurance Companies of Des Moines and GE Security, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and focus on school safety, security and risk improvement.

Dr. Lauk's session entitled, Safe and Drug Free Schools, will feature a discussion on implementing new advanced security technology into educational facilities.  He'll also offer tips on how schools and communities can be proactive in minimizing danger. Raymond Lauk, Ph.D. is a former school superintendent and was recognized in 2005 by FAST Magazine as one of the FAST 50 for his work in generating community interest in re-inventing education in his last school district. Lauk is currently a GE Security consultant and performs stand-up comedy.

Risk Improvement for Educational Facilities will be the focus of Jerry Loghry's address.  Loghry will offer attendees a first hand look at how risk assessments, audits and surveys are conducted from an insurer's perspective.

As a 20-year veteran in the safety, security and risk management field, Jerry Loghry is a Certified Protection Professional and active on national and international security standards committees. A Risk Improvement Specialist for EMC Companies, Loghry works extensively with school districts throughout the United States.
