GRAND ISLAND —

AAA Nebraska will be hosting a passport event from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at its Grand Island office at 3359 W. Capital Ave.

Free passport photos and guidance on new international travel requirements will be available. It is recommended that travelers allow a minimum of six weeks for the procession of their U.S. passport application.

Proof of citizenship is now required when arriving at all entry borders and seaports outside the United States. Travelers need a birth certificate or naturalization certificate and government issued photo identification card, such as a driver's license, to provide citizenship. A U.S. Passport may be used to verify citizenship.
