Brandi L. Dahl has been promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Dahl is a console operations supervisor assigned to the 732nd Air Mobility Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, Alaska.  She is scheduled for an assignment to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Ariz., beginning Sept. 1. Dahl, who has served in the military for 16 years, is the daughter of Sally Augustine of Grand Island and graduated in 1990 from Grand Island Senior High School. She received an associate degree in 2008 from Community College of the Air Force in Anchorage.

Army National Guard Sgt. Jessica A. Zimbelman is currently deployed in Iraq to support the mission of Operation Iraqi Freedom.        Zimbelman is a property book supervisor serving with the 110th Multifunctional Medical Battalion and has served in the military for three years.
