Tucker-Rathje

United in marriage Dec. 29, 2007, at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora were Megan Tucker of Aurora and William Rathje of Roseland. Pastor Rick Prettyman officiated.

Kent and Laura Tucker of Aurora are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Richard and Kay Rathje of Roseland and the late Katherine Rathje.

Matron of honor was Jessica Rojewski of Grand Island and maid of honor was Libby Tucker of Omaha. Elizabeth Foster, Chelsea Ross, Andrea Miller and Meghan Luther were bridesmaids. Personal attendant was Jenny Forker.

Weston Rathje of Kuana Kakai, Hawaii, and Jared Rathje of Roseland were best men. Groomsmen were Dan Ilten, Joe Billesbach, Jason Jakob and Scott Wellensiek. Ushering guests were Yancy Dittmer, Dillon Dittmer, Jared Rojewski, Adam Pavelka and Scott Eisenmenger.

Candlelighters were Keylee Forker, Bekah Mead and Lauren Prettyman. Kierra Miller was flower girl and Blake Olbrich was ringbearer.

Music was provided by pianist Lori Quiring, violinists Lucy Elge, Anna Williams and Stephanie and Kelsey Quiring and vocalist Tom Wolfe. Chelsea Schaaf was guest book attendant.

Special guests were Dorothy Campbell, grandmother of the bride, and Richard and Geri Rathje, Gaylord and Dolores Johnson and Marie Schroer, grandparents of the groom.

A reception at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds followed the ceremony. Host couples were Randy and Kathy Veleba and Jim and Nancy Rathje. After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple live in Roseland.

The bride graduated from Aurora High School in 1998 and is a 2003 University of Nebraska at Kearney graduate. She is a second-grade teacher and head volleyball coach for Sandy Creek Public Schools.

The groom graduated from Silver Lake High in 1999 and is a 2003 University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate. He is a research technician for the UNL South Central Ag Lab and is self-employed in farming.
