Janda-Monteiro

Exchanging wedding vows are Emily Anne Janda of Bryan, Texas, and Jack Weldon Monteiro of College Station, Texas, on Aug. 2, 2008, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhorn.

The future bride is the daughter of Becky Janda of Omaha and the late Dr. Mike Janda. The prospective groom is the son of Leonora Owre of College Station.

Miss Janda graduated from Grand Island Central Catholic in 1997. She received a bachelor of arts in English in 2001 from Creighton University where she received her master of arts in English in 2003. She is a Ph.D. candidate in English at Texas A&M. She is a literature instructor for the English Dept. of Texas A&M University at College Station.

Monteiro is a 1996 graduate of Allen Academy at Bryan, Texas. He is a corporate trainer for Darden International.
