Svoboda-Peterson

Amy Svoboda and Chris Peterson, both of Sioux Falls, S.D., will be exchanging wedding vows on Oct. 18, 2008, in Sioux Falls.

The parents of the bride-to-be are Gordon and Terri Svoboda and Sherry and Steve Jones, all of Grand Island. Mike Peterson of Cokato, Minn., and Karen Ranta of Kimball, Minn., are parents of the prospective groom.

Miss Svoboda is a 2003 graduate of Grand Island Northwest. She also graduated in May 2007 from University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, S.D., with a degree in theology/youth ministry and coaching. She is a child care counselor at Children's Home Society.

Peterson is a 1998 graduate of Kimball Area High School. He graduated in 2000 from Central Lakes College with an associate arts degree. He is a project manager with Olympic Wall Systems, Inc.
