Gordon Deichmann will be celebrating his 80th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Central City Community Hall, 1515 17th St.
Gordon was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Leigh.
Members of his family include his wife Jewell; and children, Debra and Terry Vesely and David and Becky Deichmann, all of Central City, Denise and Brian Mellott of Farney, Texas, Deanna and Brad Kline of Keokuk, Iowa, and Darrin and Roxanne Deichmann of Norfolk. He has 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
