Harold was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Merrick County to Ernest and Vivian Peters.
His family includes his wife Ruth; a son, Michael and Rogi Peters of Central City, and daughter, Kathleen and Scott Johnson of Kearney. He has six grandchildren, Shawn and Marie Peters of Omaha, Kylie and Lance Boelts of Central City, Dathan Peters and Kelli of Lincoln, Dustin and Katy Handley of Kearney, Kristin and Lee Saltzgaber of Lincoln, and Haylee and George Weibel of Kearney and two great-grandchildren, Ariel Saltzgaber and Colbyn Peters of Lincoln.
