GRAND ISLAND —

Jamie Lynn Clausen and Nathan Andrew Clemans, both of Grand Island, were united in marriage Aug. 2, 2008, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Grand Island. Father Jack Rademacher performed the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Curt and Terrie Clausen of Grand Island. Dean and Beth Clemans of Doniphan are parents of the groom.

Kayla Backer and Kayla Brown of Grand Island were maids of honor. Chelsey Clemans, sister-in-law of the groom, Ashley Clausen, sister-in-law of the bride, and Gretchen Lathrop, Biz Hagen and Heidi Blue, cousins of the bride, were the bride's other attendants. Junior attendant  was Addison Simmons. Personal attendant was Jenny Larson.

Best man was Adam Clemans of Bartlett, Tenn., brother of the groom. Casey Clausen, brother of the bride, Pat Harder, Mike Harder, Jim Duering, Sean Cook and Mark Stegman were groomsmen. Isaac Simmons was junior attendant. Ushers were Cole Petersen, Tim Keezer and Brad Kennedy. 

Sami and Paige Heim, cousins of the bride, were candlelighters. Flower girl was Addison Duering and ringbearers were Connor and Kade Duering.

Providing music were guitarist Doris Winkler, organist Diane Schleichardt and vocalists John and Tiffany Sellers.

Special guests were grandparents Charlie and Bessie Frith and Eileen Dingwerth, all of Grand Island, and Lola Heim of Sioux Falls, S.D.

A reception and dance at the Platt Duetsche followed the ceremony.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Grand Island Central Catholic. She received a bachelor's degree in business accounting from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2008 and is working on her master's program through Chadron State College. She is a staff accountant for Almquist, Maltzahn, Galloway & Luth.

The groom graduated from Grand Island Northwest High in 1997. He received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Bellevue University. He is a child protection and safety worker for Region III Behavioral Health Services.
