United in marriage July 26, 2008, at Abundant Life Christian Center in Grand Island were Micah Dubbs of Wood River and Daniel Kern of Omaha. The Rev. Stephen Warriner officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Marilyn Dubbs of Wood River. She graduated from Wood River Rural High School in 2002 and attended Concordia University at Seward where her major was exercise science. She is a fourth-year student at Creighton University at Omaha and will graduate in May 2009 with a doctorate of physical therapy. Micah is doing her medical internship at Excel Physical Therapy in Grand Island.
The groom is the son of the Rev. Paul and Kathleen Kern of Waco. He is a 1997 graduate of North Loup Scotia High School. He received an associate degree in massage therapy from Myotherapy Institute at Lincoln in 2003 and an associate degree in physical therapy assistant from Northeast Community College at Norfolk in 2007. He works for Advanced Prosthetics Center in Omaha as a physical therapy assistant.
